I know JDubb, you are correct - it's just so darn frustrating! I am not even a religious person... My parents own a funeral home. I've gone to many, many funerals. It is the ONE place where there is true equality - we all die... it is where people need time and support to say a final "Good-bye".

The sad part is that this young man died protecting their "rights" to denegrate him - they are a pathetic group to miss this point. Had this young man not "died for them", they would not be in a country where they could say/think the way they do...

Colds and flu are one thing. Reasonable caution and precautions can be used and most people are exposed to those regularly anyway. MEASLES??!!...That's another category. Especially if you know you've been exposed and are presenting symptoms.

In high school, I worked in a nursing home - where many of the patients were polio victims. Sobering. The image of their mangled legs and the pain they suffered still haunts me. But what scared me more was the overwhelming number of elderly who had survived the disease - and this was the 1980s.

What I'd like to know - does that make him eligible for citizenship afterwards? I also thought, prisoners can get paid while in the slammer? If the answer is yes to those - he should be quite happy. At least, that's now it worked in New Mexico. Not sure about New York.
Does English teacher Natalie Munroe deserve to be suspended for blog posts in which she called her young students 'disengaged, lazy whiners'?

Every day I see teachers in classrooms trying to teach the manners and civility that their parents don't have the time for at home.

Been married 25 years on Jan. 30th. I'm not angry about my choice. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that kids who are parented wisely often do better in school, have better self esteem and better manners.
